I’ve spent more than 40 years in real estate, and the Highland Lakes has become the market I know best. Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, Kingsland, Granite Shoals, Cottonwood Shores, Burnet, Sunrise Beach Village, Meadowlakes, Highland Haven, Sherwood Shores — ten different towns, each with its own personality, and each one requires knowing more than just what’s listed on the MLS. Whether someone is buying their first home out here, selling a longtime lake property, investing, or relocating from out of state, they’re looking for someone who actually knows this region, not someone treating it as an afterthought to a bigger city market.
That’s the broker I’ve tried to be for the people who trust me with a Highland Lakes purchase or sale.
Today, I serve as the Managing Broker and Designated REALTOR for Uncommon Highland Lakes Realty, working directly with buyers, sellers, investors, and relocation clients throughout the Highland Lakes. I believe every client deserves a strategy built around their specific goals and their specific property — a waterfront lot on Lake LBJ calls for a different approach than a home a few miles inland, and I treat them that way.
My career has put me in front of an enormous range of properties — luxury homes, waterfront and lakefront property, investment properties, farm and ranch land, commercial real estate, and everyday homes where families start their next chapter. Different property, different lake, different town — my approach stays the same. Listen first. Educate often. Negotiate with purpose. Stay available. Keep my clients informed.
Teaching has also become one of the great privileges of my career.
Since 2016, I’ve traveled across Texas and the country as a national real estate instructor, teaching agents, brokers, and industry professionals on contracts, negotiations, agency relationships, ethics, pricing strategy, broker responsibility, and the practical side of serving clients well. Standing in front of a classroom reminds me that learning never stops — and what I bring back from teaching, I put to work for clients right here in the Highland Lakes.
One of the things I enjoy most about this business is solving problems specific to this region. Waterfront surveys, dock permitting, HOA and POA rules that vary from one lake community to the next, seasonal timing tied to lake recreation — every Highland Lakes transaction has its own wrinkle, and I genuinely enjoy working through them.
Over the years I’ve built relationships with agents, lenders, inspectors, contractors, attorneys, and title professionals throughout Central Texas and beyond. Those relationships don’t replace experience, but they strengthen it — especially when a Highland Lakes deal needs a specialist who understands lakefront property, not just a generalist.

It’s about the retiree finally getting the lake house they’ve talked about for years. It’s about families relocating to Horseshoe Bay or Kingsland and figuring out where they belong. Those moments don’t get old.
