Marble Falls Realtor – Robbie English

Not every real estate license holder is a REALTOR®. The term is trademarked and restricted to members of the National Association of REALTORS who agree to a specific Code of Ethics: obligations around honesty, disclosure, and putting a client’s interests ahead of a commission check that go beyond what Texas state licensing law requires on its own. Someone can be a fully licensed real estate agent in Texas without ever joining NAR or agreeing to that code.

Robbie English is a REALTOR, specifically the Designated REALTOR and Managing Broker of Uncommon Highland Lakes Realty, serving Marble Falls and the rest of the Highland Lakes.

What the designation actually requires

Being a Designated REALTOR means Robbie’s name is the one on file with the National Association of REALTORS for the brokerage, and the office’s REALTOR membership runs through his standing. NAR’s Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement, which Robbie holds, goes a step further: it’s a self-assessment and ongoing education program built around the same ethical and professional standards, meant to demonstrate that a REALTOR isn’t just meeting the minimum but actively working to exceed it.

Beyond the REALTOR designation itself, Robbie holds a working list of additional NAR and industry certifications, each tied to a specific area of practice: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Brokerage Manager (CRB), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), RPR (REALTORS Property Resource) Certified, At Home With Diversity (AHWD), e-PRO, and Texas-specific designations in buyer representation, listing strategy, new construction, and affordable housing. Each one requires separate coursework and, in several cases, ongoing continuing education to maintain.

Why the ethics code matters more than it sounds like

The NAR Code of Ethics covers things state license law doesn’t spell out in the same detail: duties to cooperate honestly with other REALTORs, specific disclosure obligations to clients and customers, and a professional standards process that gives consumers somewhere to file a complaint that isn’t just a state licensing board. In a market where a real estate purchase or sale is likely the largest financial transaction most people ever make, that extra layer of accountability is not a small thing.

Teaching the standard, not just meeting it

Since 2016, Robbie has traveled nationally as a real estate instructor, teaching other agents and brokers on topics including agency law, ethics, and negotiation. Several of his certifications (ABR, MRP, NHC, PSA, SRS, TBS, and TLS among them) are ones he’s also qualified to teach as an instructor, not just hold as a credential. That’s a different relationship to the material than simply passing a course once and moving on.

What it means for a Marble Falls transaction

In practice, the REALTOR designation and the certifications behind it show up in the details: proper disclosure paperwork on a home with a septic system or a well, correct handling of a listing near Stillwood Estates or Wildflower that has an HOA with its own set of rules layered on top of city ordinances, and negotiation conducted under a professional code that both sides can trust, not just personal reputation.

If the letters after an agent’s name matter to you (and in a transaction this size, they should), call or text 830-953-5571, or schedule a call to talk about your Marble Falls plans.
