Sherwood Shores sits about 14 miles southwest of Burnet on Lake LBJ, in western Burnet County. It’s actually grown from two separate lakeside developments, one near the Roy Inks Dam and the other further downstream, that trace back to the early 1960s, when the first residents chartered a Baptist church and the community began to take shape.

Kids here attend Marble Falls ISD, with elementary-age students going to Highland Lakes Elementary in nearby Granite Shoals.
