Homes For Sale in Sunrise Beach Village and the Wider Highland Lakes
Sunrise Beach Village sits on the southern shore of Lake LBJ, between Marble Falls and Llano. A San Antonio developer named David Miller founded it back in 1958 as a resort and retirement community, and the town incorporated in 1973. Today it’s home to just over 700 residents, and even at that size it runs like a real town: its own police department, municipal court, water system, fire station, and post office. Residents also have access to five public waterfront parks, three of which have boat ramps, so getting on the lake doesn’t require owning a private dock.
Compared to the bigger Highland Lakes markets, the tradeoff here is pace. Sunrise Beach is smaller than Marble Falls or Horseshoe Bay and has fewer amenities within town limits, but that also means less traffic, a tighter community, and lake access that’s easy to reach without navigating a crowded shoreline. The search below covers listings in Sunrise Beach itself along with the broader Highland Lakes area, so you can compare what’s available here against nearby towns without leaving this page.
