The Legends on Lake LBJ is a gated, 2,700-acre master-planned community built around an 18-hole championship golf course, minutes from downtown Kingsland along the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ. It’s one of Kingsland’s two established gated, amenity-driven subdivisions. Big Creek Ranch is the other, a newer community centered on Mill Creek rather than a golf course. Homesites in The Legends are estate-sized waterfront and golf-course lots with underground utilities, and homes are custom-built, single-family residences.

Recent listings in The Legends have ranged from just under $850,000 to more than $5.29 million, according to Texas Land and Lake. Texas is a non-disclosure state, so closed sale prices aren’t public record. Any figure you see is an asking price, not a confirmed sale price.
An 18-Hole Tom Kite Design
The centerpiece of the community is a 7,260-yard championship golf course designed by Tom Kite, along with course architects Roy Bechtol and Randolph P. Russell, which opened in 2003. The design mixes links-style holes with Hill Country terrain, and the course sits alongside the estate-sized waterfront lots that give the community its name recognition on Lake LBJ.
One POA, Several Named Sections
The Legends is governed by The Legends on Lake LBJ Property Owners Association, whose management certificate is filed with the Texas Real Estate Commission and available at hoa.texas.gov. Several sections inside the larger development, including Enclave at the Legends and Sandia Ridge at the Legends, are registered as their own sub-associations rather than being covered under one flat set of rules, so it’s worth confirming which section and which HOA applies to a specific address rather than assuming the whole community operates under identical deed restrictions. We haven’t been able to verify current HOA dues from public sources, so ask for the resale certificate on any specific listing rather than assuming a number.
